- Country: USA
- Style: Minimalist,Traditional
Origin Story
Founder Tricia Rose grew up in Scotland surrounded by her family's textile traditions — knitting, sewing, and a deep appreciation for European linen. Rediscovering a centuries-old hand-loomed linen pillowslip in her family's stone cottage ignited the idea for Rough Linen in 2009. Rose built the brand from her San Rafael, California workshop, dedicated to reproducing the weight and character of old-world European linen.
Linen Sourcing
100% European flax linen imported from traditional European mills; natural, unbleached, selected for heritage weight and durability.
Signature Finish
Signature "Orkney" linen at up to 260 GSM — a heavy, generously textured weave that softens beautifully over time and outlasts conventional bedding.
Why We Love Them
Rough Linen is the real deal — woman-owned, hand-sewn in California, with heritage-weight fabric that's built to outlast everything else in your bedroom.
